Association Awards and Honors Recipients
Active Duty Honors Program
The Association instituted an honors program for enlisted active duty air traffic controllers, communications/information, and cyber professionals. The Headquarters Air Force Air Traffic Control Air Staff function selects from the major air commands and/or joint commands outstanding enlisted airmen each year, among them the Air Traffic Control Enlisted Manager of the Year and the Air Traffic Controller of the Year. The Association then further honors these two airmen with the Maj Gen Van C. Doubleday Air Traffic Control Enlisted Manager of the Year Award and the CMSgt Walter D. McLain Air Traffic Controller of the Year Award. Also, the Association solicits through the SAF/CIO A6 Air Staff function for nominations to compete for the Maj Gen Gerald L. Prather Cyber Systems Senior NCO of the Year Award and the Lt Gen Harry D. Raduege Cyber Systems NCO of the Year Award. The Association then convenes its Honors and Awards Committee to review the cyber systems nominations and select the winners in the Senior NCO and NCO categories. The four winners in the ATC and Cyber Systems categories are presented a trophy (an engraved eagle), a two-year membership in the Association, and a certificate. Presentations are made at the Association’s annual convention/banquet each year. This program is in keeping with the Association mission statement and core values to honor outstanding airmen serving in today’s Air Force.

This award is presented to the USAF Cyberspace Senior NCO of the Year. This year the honor goes to Staff Sergeant Alan H. Kim. |
This award is given annually to the USAF Cyberspace Operations NCO of the Year. This year we are happy to recognize Master Sergeant Larry Adams. |
This award is presented to the USAF Air Traffic Control Enlisted Manager of the Year. For 2021 the winner is Master Sergeant Jacob Burkhalter. |
The award is presented to the USAF Air Traffic Controller of the Year. We are proud to present this inaugural award to Senior Airman Eric Van Dyke. |
